Fifty things to do before I'm fifty, Marrakesh

It seemed to me that the perfect way to recover from the rigours of Tough Mudder would be a cheeky trip to Morrocco. Hell yes and another tick on my list!!

I figured that I'd give it a little time for the bruises to fade and then we were off. C joined me for a bit of R&R at the beautiful Eden Andalou Aquapark and Spa just outside Marrakesh. It was a bit isolated stuck out in the middle of nowhere but lush and sumptuous and very luxurious. I love the colourful mosaics and sumptuous fabrics. Absolutely stunning! Probably one of the best all inclusive hotels I've stayed in to be honest.

 We were only there 4 days which was a great short break. I think the isolated location of the hotel would have made us a little stir crazy if we had stayed longer. Sadly I forgot my phone charger so I only have a handful of photos...... Good excuse for a return trip though!

Fifty things to do before I’m fifty. NOT a bucket list. The idea of this list came about when I realised that there were so many things I’d never done before. More and more often I’ve been hearing myself say “I’ve never been there” or “I haven’t tried  that” or “I’d love to have a go at that” I started to think that I should start getting out there and having some new experiences.   If you'd asked three years ago if I fancied doing a 5k obstacle run, I'd have laughed in your face, probably giving you a quick coating of hob nob crumbs in the process! Not a runner. Hate keeping fit. Are you trying to kill me or what? The very thought of running anywhere would have sent me face first into the Ben and Jerry's! Fast forward to 2016, Things changed somewhat and I was keen to give it a go. Although not really confident in my abilities to complete the course, I shared the post a couple of times on Facebook to see if anyone fancied joining me. The response was deafeningly silent......
